How should I prepare for my appointment?
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Eat at least 4 hours prior to appointment
  • Get plenty of rest
How do I take care of my tattoo once I get home?
  1. Saniderm- Leave your Saniderm bandage on for a minimum of 72-96 hours, note some liquid plasma may form under the bandage and this is completely normal. When removing saniderm, run under warm water and slowly remove it. After removal, wash with unscented soap and pat dry with a paper towel. Apply an unscented lotion* when saniderm is removed.
  2. Without saniderm- Allow your tattoo to stay wrapped until you arrive home, then proceed to clean it with unscented antibacterial soap and pat dry with a paper towel. Massage a A&D ointment or aquaphor 3-4 times a day for the first 72 hours, to which then you may switch to an unscented lotion*. Be sure to apply one of the 2 moisturizers listed above when the area feels dry.
  3. Wrapped- For the first three days, wash it with liquid antibacterial soap (like Dial gold or softsoap), 3-4 times a day. When you’re washing it use your fingers only. Let it air dry for about 30 minutes, pat it dry with a clean paper towel, then wrap only the area that has been tattooed with new saran wrap. Repeat these steps before bedtime, when you wake up, and once or twice throughout the day, for the first 3 days.The fourth day on, you only need to wash it once or twice a day, but put lotion on it anytime it get dry or itches. I recommend Aveeno, Vaseline Intensive care, or Lubriderm. Just make sure the lotion is fragrance free. Use the lotion for 3-4 weeks afterwards. Avoid hot tubs, tanning beds, and swimming pools for the next 3-4 weeks. Don’t pick it or scratch it.

  • We do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18 even with parental consent.
